How this site is funded
The site is free to read. Running costs may be covered by advertising, and in future possibly by affiliate arrangements. This page exists so you always know what is commercial and what is not.
The links that matter most are not commercial
Every link to an official government app, portal or document on this site is an ordinary link. We earn nothing from them, and their presence is not influenced by money. They are listed because they are the correct place to go.
We would not accept an affiliate arrangement over a government service even if one were offered. Doing so would put a commercial interest between a farmer and the official route, which is exactly what this site exists to prevent.
Advertising
Where advertising appears, these rules apply without exception:
- Adverts are visually distinct from editorial content.
- No advert is styled to look like a download button, a system alert, a government notice or part of a form.
- We do not accept advertising that impersonates a government service or claims to process an application on your behalf.
- We do not accept advertising that asks for an Aadhaar number, a one-time password or a payment to complete a government process.
- Advertising has no influence on what we write. An advertiser cannot buy a mention, a recommendation or a favourable description.
Affiliate links
If we ever include an affiliate link, meaning a link that may earn a commission if you buy something, it will be labelled as such on the page where it appears, and this page will be updated to say what the arrangement is. Nothing on this site is an affiliate link today.
Note for the site owner: If you add affiliate links later, list the programmes here and label each link on the page it appears on. If you never add any, say so plainly instead, and consider removing this page from the footer menu. Delete this paragraph once you have done it.
