DCS MH हे क्षेत्रीय पाहणीचे साधन आहे, माहिती पाहण्याचे ॲप नाही. यात सातबारा उतारा डाउनलोड करता येत नाही, अनुदान मिळत नाही आणि विमा दावा दाखल करता येत नाही. त्याचे एकच काम आहे — शेतात प्रत्यक्ष उभे राहून त्या गटावर काय आहे याची नोंद घेणे.

Google Play वरील तांत्रिक तपशिलानुसार:

• यात शेती आणि अशेती — दोन्ही प्रकारच्या क्षेत्राची नोंद होते

DCS MH is a field data-collection tool, not a records-viewing app. You cannot download a 7/12 extract with it, claim a subsidy, or file an insurance claim. Its single job is to capture what is actually growing on a plot, recorded while standing on that plot.

From the Play Store technical details:

• The package name is com.mhdcs.agristack
• It covers both agricultural and non-agricultural plot data
• The surveyor is expected to be physically at the location while surveying
• The app's own data-safety declaration states data is encrypted in transit and that deletion can be requested

डिजिटल क्रॉप सर्व्हे ॲपच्या अधिकृत गोपनीयता धोरणात (केंद्रीय कृषी व शेतकरी कल्याण मंत्रालयाने प्रकाशित केलेले) कोणती वैयक्तिक माहिती गोळा होते हे स्पष्ट नमूद केले आहे. त्यात शेतकऱ्याचे नाव, मोबाइल क्रमांक, पत्ता, लिंग, जात, ई-मेल आणि शेतीविषयक तपशील — गटाचे क्षेत्र आणि गटाचे भौगोलिक स्थान (geo-location) — यांचा समावेश आहे. तसेच IP पत्ता आणि उपकरणाचा युनिक ओळख क्रमांकही नोंदवला जातो.

याचा व्यावहारिक अर्थ असा की पाहणीची नोंद ही केवळ पिकाचे नाव नसते. ती जागेशी बांधलेली नोंद असते. त्यामुळेच ॲप तुम्हाला घरी बसून पाहणी पूर्ण करू देत नाही.

The official privacy policy for the Digital Crop Survey app, published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, spells out what personal data is collected. It lists the farmer's name, mobile number, address, gender, caste and email, along with farming details including plot area and the plot's geo-location. IP address and unique device identifiers are also recorded.

The practical consequence: a survey record is not just a crop name. It is a record tied to a place. That is precisely why the app will not let you complete a survey from home.

Play Store वरील वर्णन "सर्व्हेअर" असा शब्द वापरते — म्हणजे शेतावर जाऊन नोंद घेणारी नेमून दिलेली व्यक्ती. महाराष्ट्रात या कामासाठी कोणत्या पदांना अधिकार दिले आहेत हे हंगामनिहाय शासन आदेशाने ठरते आणि ते बदलू शकते.

त्यामुळे आम्ही येथे पदांची यादी देत नाही. चालू हंगामासाठी कोण अधिकृत आहे हे तुमच्या तलाठी कार्यालयाकडून किंवा तहसील कार्यालयाकडून तपासा — तीच माहिती विश्वसनीय असते.

The Play listing uses the word "surveyor": a designated person who goes to the field and records the entry. Which roles are authorised to do that in Maharashtra is set by season-specific government orders, and it changes.

So we do not publish a list of designations here. Check who is authorised for the current season with your Talathi office or Tehsil office — that is the answer that will actually be correct.

पूर्वी पीक पेरा नोंद ही मुख्यतः क्षेत्रीय कर्मचाऱ्याच्या अंदाजावर आणि कागदी नोंदीवर आधारित असे. त्यात दोन अडचणी होत्या: नोंद कधी आणि कुठे घेतली याचा पुरावा नसे, आणि नोंदीतील चूक शोधणे कठीण असे.

The older crop-sowing entry relied largely on a field official's estimate written onto paper. That created two problems: no evidence of when or where the entry was made, and no easy way to spot an error.

A digital survey attaches latitude, longitude and a photograph to each entry, which produces evidence of which piece of ground the record describes. The central government approved the Digital Agriculture Mission in September 2024, as recorded in a Parliament reply, and the Digital Crop Survey sits within it.

This is not a Maharashtra-only programme. Separate DCS apps with near-identical descriptions exist on Google Play for Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Assam, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh.
