e-Peek Pahani: The Farmer's Crop Survey App
e-Peek Pahani (also written e-Pik Pahani) is the app a farmer uses to record their own crop sowing. It is published by the Department of Revenue, Government of Maharashtra, and its Play Store name now also carries "(DCS)". Its own tagline translates as "my farm, my 7/12, I will record my own crop sowing".
If you are a farmer wanting your crop on the record, this is almost certainly the app you want — not DCS MH, which is built for designated surveyors. The two are constantly confused because both carry "DCS"; the difference is explained below and on our which app do you need page.

What e-Peek Pahani is
e-Peek Pahani is a farmer-facing crop-recording app. Per its official description, a farmer can record:
- their crop sowing entry for a plot
- trees on field bunds
- current fallow and permanent fallow area
Every entry is captured with latitude and longitude, so the record is tied to the actual plot. The package name on Google Play is io.sc.eppCordova. With a very large user base (around 28,200 reviews when we last checked), it is the mass-audience farmer app, where DCS MH is a narrower tool for assigned staff.
e-Peek Pahani vs DCS MH, in one line
Farmer recording their own crop → e-Peek Pahani. Assigned survey duty → DCS MH. They are separate apps, under separate publishers, with separate package names (io.sc.eppCordova versus com.mhdcs.agristack). The full side-by-side is on our which app do you need page.
Installing e-Peek Pahani safely
Install it from Google Play only, and check the package name is io.sc.eppCordova before you install. Do not use an APK from any other website — you enter Aadhaar-linked details and your location into this app, and a repackaged copy is a genuine risk. The same safe-install discipline we set out for the surveyor app applies; see how to get the app safely.
Open the Google Play Store; do not install from a WhatsApp or SMS link.
Confirm the package name
io.sc.eppCordovain the address bar, or use the official link in the sources below. After installing, allow location (set to Precise) and camera, and set the phone's date and time to automatic — the app refuses to work with a wrong clock.
Keep automatic updates on, so a server-side change does not break an old build on your phone.
How a farmer records a crop
The shape of the process is the same across these apps: log in, pick your plot, stand in the field, enter the crop, take a photo, submit. The full, careful step-by-step — including the mistakes that cause a rejected entry — is on our how to record a crop survey page.
Two things cause most farmer-level failures: not letting the GPS fix settle before proceeding, and not taking the photo there and then (an old gallery photo will not do).
After you record: check it reached your 7/12
Submitting is not the same as the entry being recorded. After a few days, confirm it. The decisive check is your 7/12 extract, where the crop-sowing entry appears. How to check in the app, on the 7/12, and at the Talathi office is on our check your entry page, and the digitally signed 7/12 is explained on our 7/12 land record page.
If e-Peek Pahani is not working
The problems farmers report most — no OTP, "you are far from the plot", the photo not attaching, the entry not saving — are mostly server-side or source-record issues, not something wrong with your phone. What to try for each is on our problems and fixes page, and login or OTP trouble is on our login help page.
Who should use this app
Use e-Peek Pahani if you are a farmer recording the crop on your own land. If you have been assigned survey duty, you use DCS MH instead. If you only need a Farmer ID or to view your land linkages, that is the Farmer Registry; see our Farmer ID page. Not sure? Our farmer-level and surveyor-level explainer settles it.
